This section of our web site is devoted to helping the community understand the intricacies of the planning system.
Dealing with planning application consultations can be a frustrating process, especially if you are not familiar with the relevant planning regulations. As well as providing a simpler and clear (hopefully) description of the planning process relevant to understanding development in the village, we will provide a library of useful reference material, a guide to accessing the ELDC planning web site pages, a guide on what constitutes “valid” planning application objections and news/updates on any major applications that we are aware of.
Under this section you will also find details of the Neighbourhood Development Plan Working Group’s activities; accessing the web site directly will provide more up to date information and a document library.
The Parish Council planning committee deals with all non-major planning applications for the Council, including applications to remove or crown trees protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO).
The Parish Council has been discussing its concerns about development with the East Lindsey District Council Portfolio Holder for Planning – Cllr Richard Fry. Please find below the notes from a meeting held with Cllr Fry and Anne Shorland – Planning Policy Manager
