Coronavirus Support

This page provides support information on the coronavirus pandemic and what actions are being taken by the Parish Council (WSPC). In addition it provides information on the Woodhall Spa and Kirkby on Bain area Coronavirus Support Group that stood up 26th March 2010

First, and most important, is that as things are changing rapidly and government advice is updated often daily, this page will direct readers to the appropriate government or other authorities web pages so that we do not indavertently publish out-of-date, or erroneous, information. Links will be provided at the bottom of this page

The WSPC is working with ELDC Cllr Craig Leyland to provide support to those in need in the village. Initially, this involves identifying those in need and then providing help where required. This work is informed by the guidelines of the Lincolnshire Resilience Forum (LRF) County Emergency Centre (CEC) Communities and Volunteer Coordination Centre. The LRF is currently building a picture of current community activity in order to best support these activities. The LFR asks all community groups thinking of offering support to members of the community who may be self-isolating and/or vulnerable to notify them of any current or planned activity. The LRF can be contacted by e-mail – – or phone – 01522 787034. The cell is open Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm. The guidance from the LRF also includes the need for volunteers to avoid puting themselves ar risk. There is also sadly the risk of fraudsters exploiting the situation. If in doubt of any person’s credentials check first, especially before handing over cash or debit/credit cards.

The WSPC will be providing financial assistance to the LRF for use within the village where this is appropriate, or direct to activities managed and run with support groups. Please contact the WSPC via e-mail or phone for more details.

In order to safeguard the health of Councillors, members of staff and the general public, the WSPC has cancelled all Council meetings for an initial 2-month period. This will include the postponment of the Annual Parish Meeting until such time as the advice on public gatherings allows. The office will also be closed although the Clerk will still be at work. The work of the Council will continue as we have set-up a process of delegated decision making and electronic distribution of information; so items such as planning applications will still receive Council attention. You can still contact the WPSC via e-mail or telephone – details at the bottom of this page
